This script enables a user to search a specified URL to determine whether there is an outgoing link to the specified website. Included with the script is three files, the first of which is for allowing people to enter in the URL to search and the link to check for. The second of the three files is for the action to take place if the link is found/not found and includes the third file which contains the function for the actual link detection.

No404s is a PHP script designed to help you find broken or moved links on your site or your link pages. What makes it different from other link checkers is that the title obtained from checked site is displayed (useful for finding expired domains that give no other discernable error). At the end an overview of the checked links is given and links are displayed by code (200, 404, etc.).

I've GPLed an old class of mine. This PHP class, a link validator, i wrote in october 2003 and only used it in a site of mine nlweed.com to check if posted links are still valid. Now I found the class and thought that it would be a waste only to use it ones. This class can check a link and will return the status. Easy to implement in your own scripts. So here is the GPLed version.
